of Harris Home Automation’s lighting system installations.
Next Generation Wall Panels
We can replace your wall switches with small smart wall panels and utilize our home automation platform to develop a custom screen designed for specific locations and controls that can change based on time-of-day or time- of-year. Devices like this are perfect by a bedside, near an entry door, or in a kitchen.
Seamless Installation and Integration
Prior to installation, we replicate your homes technology environment at our office lab. This includes building a home automation platform that will manage your homes lighting controls, wiring up all your smart lighting switches to our custom-built switch panels, and then utilizing our highly skilled programmers to program and test all your lighting installations prior to installation. This practice greatly reduces time to program your lighting controls, enables work to be completed earlier in the construction cycles (especially for new construction where lack of power and internet onsite can delay implementation) and allows electricians to validate the system as soon as switches are wired up.
Customization
We utilize custom made jigs and an infrared laser system to engrave smart keypads with text and graphics (click here to see the process in action). Unlike other smart home installers who send switches out to be engraved, we engrave our switches at our offices and on job sites. Rather than waiting weeks to install engraved smart keypads, we can install and engrave smart keypads in one day.
Expert Documentation
Managing the installation of smart lighting projects requires clear and easy to understand documentation. Clients need to understand hoe their lighting system will function and what the capabilities and limitations of the systems are. Additionally, Electricians need good documentation to understand how they can simplify their electrical wiring plan when building new homes and how smart lighting can help simplify the work at an existing home. For every lighting project, Harris Home Automation develops a “Lighting Control Specifications” document that ensures all parties involved in the lighting design have a clear understanding on how the smart controls will help the finished products.
